🌳 National Tree Day 2025 – Help Green the Burdekin! 🌳 Join us in celebrating National Tree Day with a community tree planting event near Parkers Lagoon, proudly supported by Burdekin Council and Lower Burdekin Landcare Association. On Friday, 25 July 2025, students from schools across the region will kick off the effort by planting trees as part of Schools Tree Day. Together, we aim to plant 1,000 native trees to restore and enhance the natural beauty of this important local area. Then, on Sunday, 27 July 2025, we invite volunteers of all ages to roll up their sleeves and help finish the planting. Whether you're a local resident, nature lover, or just keen to lend a hand, your contribution will help create a greener, healthier Burdekin. 🌱 What to Expect: Tree planting activities A chance to connect with nature and your community Contributing to a greener, healthier future Let’s come together to make a difference—one tree at a time!
