City of Monash Council - National Tree Day

We will be planting within Stanley Reserve, continuing on from last year’s National Tree Day planting area on the southern side of Scotchmans Creek. This year, we are aiming to plant approximately 8,000 indigenous plants, all grown from locally sourced seed and cuttings. This planting is focused on enhancing biodiversity and creating critical habitat for local flora and fauna. By increasing vegetation diversity and structural complexity, the project will support native wildlife, improve habitat connectivity along the Scotchmans Creek corridor, and contribute to the long-term resilience of this locally significant bushland area within the City of Monash.
